Email Marketing Strategy

Electronic mails or emails have come a long way since the time they were first introduced. The appeal of email as a lucrative business communication medium has increased over the time because of various credible factors making email marketing the most recommended form of marketing.

The email marketing plea lies in the fact that it is exceedingly cost effective; has immediacy; can be personalized; can be readily measured; and allows marketers to carry out online promotions with great accuracy.

What is permission based email marketing strategy?
Although no one argues regarding the advantages of email marketing there is still a glitch in the gulch. And the glitch is nothing but spam. Email marketing has been compared as a process that gives rise to spamming and many anti spam organizations have raised their voices against this lucrative business idea. But the situation is not as bleak as it seems cause there is a better option available.

The only reason that email marketing is accused of spreading spam is the fact that mails sent out are generally unsolicited or in other words 'not asked for'. So the situation changes if a company actually takes permission from the recipient of the mail if he actually wants to receive it. If this happens the problem of spam disappears. And this is what precisely opt-in or permission email marketing is all about.

Scope of permission email marketing
Permission based email marketing may seem to be a tough option in comparison to bulk email marketing which seems to be an easy way out. But as said, 'no pain - no gain'. In the long run permission based email marketing is bound to derive results as the customers here are highly targeted resulting in a better response rate and the practical elimination of all kinds of associated spam problems.Bulk emails many seem green to many companies but going for them is as good as asking for trouble.

Bulk emails do nothing but create annoyed customers and in worst cases can even lead to termination of your accounts relating to spam charges. So as the saying goes, better safe than sorry!
